Job Description

0.6 intervention teacher needed in North Birmingham from Easter 2019 until the end of the academic year.

0.6 intervention teacher will be and intervention role where you will be helping KS2 prepare for exams and providing booster sessions for those that need additional help. The successful candidate will be working closely with current intervention teachers but will cover a 0.6 time table.

There may be the opportunity for this position to turn permanent at the end depending on further needs of the children. The school is a small school with only around 23 children per year group (1 form entry) and there isn’t much staff turnover.

To qualify for this position you must:

• Be passionate about education and have a creative approach to your work
• Excellent time management
• Demonstrate strong classroom management
• Have experience of working with mixed abilities
• Provide 2 references

The general working hours would be 8:30 until 3:30 but this can vary at times. Work can be given during term time but outside of term time there is no work provided. Pay is dependent on experience and will be discussed at interview. This will fall in line with MPS.
