First for Education is supporting a SEMH school in Wolverhampton who is looking for an Attendance Officer- Wolverhampton for an interim cover role until Christmas 2020. This role could extend or become permanent for the right individual.
Previous experience is essential and the duties are :
â€¢ Monitoring whole school attendance, persistent absence and punctuality
â€¢ On going monitoring of attendance for students
â€¢ Identifying students who require support with their attendance
â€¢ Liaising with Senior Leadership Team, Heads of House and Tutors, SENCO, inclusion team and other relevant staff regarding students who are of concern
â€¢ Raising attendance issues with parents
â€¢ Meeting with both students and parents in order to support them to improve attendance
â€¢ Meeting with Education Welfare Officer on a weekly basis
â€¢ Referring students who are not meeting attendance targets.

Be reassured that we have strict containment policies in place so you will not ever be in the same air space as our staff (you will be restricted to our outer lobby area with a glass door between you and our staff), your documents will be handled whilst wearing disposable gloves which will be disposed of after each applicant.
If, on arrival at our office there is another person in the lobby area, please conform to social distancing rules and stand on the pavement allowing the 2 metre gap.
