First for Education are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computing Teacher to join one of our partnered secondary schools in the Jewellery Quarter from January 2026.
This long-term position is ideal for a motivated teacher with strong subject knowledge, confident behaviour management and the ability to deliver outstanding lessons across KS3 and KS4.
The school offers excellent facilities, a forward-thinking curriculum and strong departmental support.
Planning and delivering engaging Computing lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching programming fundamentals, algorithms, computing systems and digital literacy
Assessing student progress and adapting teaching as required
Managing behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive classroom environment
Supporting departmental development and contributing to whole-school initiatives
Creating inclusive, accessible learning experiences for all pupils
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Recent experience teaching Computing or Computer Science in a UK secondary school
Strong knowledge of programming concepts and the national curriculum
Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
A proactive and professional approach to teaching
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
