First for Education are recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Cover Supervisors to work across our partner secondary schools in Solihull and the surrounding areas. This role is perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teaching or other education roles.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher
Supervise students across a variety of subjects and key stages
Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
Encourage pupils to remain engaged and focused throughout the lesson
Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour
Experience working with young people (school, tutoring, youth work, or coaching desirable)
Confidence in leading and managing a classroom
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A flexible, proactive, and professional attitude
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
