First for Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-led secondary school in Erdington, who are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join their team from January 2026.
This role is suitable for a teacher who is confident delivering English Language and English Literature across KS3 and KS4, with strong behaviour management skills and a passion for engaging learners of all abilities.
Teaching English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4
Planning engaging, structured lessons aligned with the curriculum
Assessing, marking and tracking pupil progress
Maintaining a positive and focused learning environment
Managing behaviour in line with school policies
Working collaboratively within a supportive English department
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Recent UK secondary school teaching experience
Strong subject knowledge in English
Confident classroom and behaviour management
Professional, reliable and committed approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
