Are you a passionate and experienced Spanish Teacher ready to take the next step into leadership?
First for Education are seeking a dynamic and motivated Head of Spanish to join one of our highly regarded partner secondary schools in Kings Heath, Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or current subject lead to make a lasting impact by shaping the delivery of Spanish across the school and inspiring a love of languages in students.
As Head of Spanish, you will:
Lead and develop the Spanish curriculum across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
Inspire and motivate students through engaging and culturally rich lessons
Monitor and drive pupil progress to ensure consistently high standards
Support, mentor, and coordinate staff within the MFL department
Promote a passion for languages and international awareness across the school community
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Proven experience teaching Spanish to KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Experience in a leadership or subject coordination role, or readiness to step into one
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A passion for inspiring students and improving language learning outcomes
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
