Intervention teacher

Job Description

Intervention teacher is needed for a long-term position from February Half term until the end of the academic year.

This position would be Monday through to Friday working with a mixture KS2 year group where you will be providing intervention teaching for the children. Intervention teacher is a great position and has many rewards but most of all there is no planning involved for the teacher and very little assessment, this would all be done by their full time class teacher.

Intervention teacher is a great opportunity for a candidate looking for local work in the North Birmingham area. The position will continue for as long as you are needed but the school may want to extend the dates depending on progression made from the pupils.

To qualify for this position you must:

• Be passionate about education and have a creative approach to your work
• Excellent time management
• Demonstrate strong classroom management
• Have experience of working with mixed abilities
• Provide 2 references

UK QTS IS ESSENTIAL

The general working hours would be 8:30 until 3:30 but this can vary at times. Work can be given during term time but outside of term time there is no work provided. Pay is dependent on experience and will be discussed at interview. This will fall in line with MPS.
