Lead and Inspire as a Maths Teacher in Handsworth

First for Education are recruiting an experienced and inspiring Qualified Maths Teacher to join a successful and supportive second­ary school in Handsworth, starting January 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality Maths teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with potential for KS5 depending on experience. Strong behaviour management and curriculum knowledge are essential for this role.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

• Use creative and effective teaching strategies to support pupil progress

• Demonstrate strong behaviour management and classroom presence

• Differentiate learning to support SEND, EAL and mixed-ability learners

• Track progress, assess performance and provide timely intervention

• Contribute to department planning and wider school improvement

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

• Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Maths in UK schools

• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills

• A passion for raising attainment and developing pupil confidence

• A proactive, resilient and professional approach

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
