First for Education are working with a number of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools across Birmingham, Solihull and Sutton Coldfield to recruit dedicated Level 3 (or equivalent) Teaching Assistants.

The Role

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support students across a range of subjects and year groups

• Work 1:1 or in small groups to provide targeted intervention and guidance

• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and resource preparation

• Promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom

• Provide tailored support for students with additional needs (SEND experience desirable)

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

• Proven experience supporting young people in a secondary school environment

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting learning

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
