Are you an experienced and qualified Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in secondary education?
First for Education are working with a number of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools across Birmingham, Solihull and Sutton Coldfield to recruit dedicated Level 3 (or equivalent) Teaching Assistants.
If you’re passionate about supporting young people, encouraging academic progress and helping students thrive both inside and outside the classroom — this could be the perfect next step in your education career.
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students across a range of subjects and year groups
Work 1:1 or in small groups to provide targeted intervention and guidance
Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and resource preparation
Promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom
Provide tailored support for students with additional needs (SEND experience desirable)
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Proven experience supporting young people in a secondary school environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting learning
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Competitive daily pay (£90 – £140)
