Inspire the Next Generation as a Science Teacher in Edgbaston

First for Education are recruiting a skilled and passionate Qualified Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Edgbaston, starting January 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for KS5 if desired. The school is seeking an enthusiastic teacher with strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.


The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics

  • Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment

  • Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently

  • Differentiate lessons to support SEND, EAL and mixed-ability learners

  • Track pupil progress and raise attainment through targeted intervention

  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives


What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

  • Strong behaviour management and classroom presence

  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills

  • Passion for science education and student development

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
