First for Education are recruiting a skilled and passionate Qualified Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Edgbaston, starting January 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for KS5 if desired. The school is seeking an enthusiastic teacher with strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
As a Science Teacher, you will:
Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment
Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently
Differentiate lessons to support SEND, EAL and mixed-ability learners
Track pupil progress and raise attainment through targeted intervention
Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
Passion for science education and student development
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
