First for Education are recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within a secondary school in Coventry from January 2026.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people’s learning, behaviour and personal development. The school is welcoming, well-led and committed to providing strong support for both students and staff.
Supporting students in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
Supporting students with additional learning or behavioural needs
Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Supervising pupils during lessons and structured activities
Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times
Experience working with children or young people (school experience preferred)
A calm, patient and supportive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive and reliable attitude
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
