As a Newly Qualified Teacher you are particularly sought after by our client schools because the enthusiasm and energy you will bring to the post. A large proportion of our schools support NQTs through their induction year as they will be gaining a valued member of staff who is fully up to date on all the latest pedagogical strategies.

You have a choice in how to proceed. Once registered you can either:
- Make yourself available solely for permanent jobs and we will manage the whole process for you from interview through to appointment.We look at your specific strengths/weaknesses and use our many years’ experience of working closely with dozens of schools in your area to recommend a school that will best suit your unique requirements.
- Take a more considered approach and spend time in many local schools on supply before committing to an individual school for your induction year. Schools can vary wildly on their approach to NQTs and there is no way of knowing that from a cursory visit/interview. As a specialist provider with innumerable years’ in the local area, we have hard won experience in this field.
You will in no way prejudice your chances of successful appointment at a school by working there via First for Education! we don’t charge any fees to release you to a schools’ direct employment so long as we receive the agreed notice period from the school. As a result,schools have no problem receiving NQTs from us on supply. It is an extremely low risk approach for both parties as it is essentially ‘try before you buy’ for both parties. You will no doubt be painfully aware of the requirement to pass your induction, you aren’t allowed to retake it once you start, so choosing the right partner school is of paramount importance to your future career prospects.
