First For Education are working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Willenhall to recruit an experienced and compassionate Pastoral Manager. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about student wellbeing, behaviour support and safeguarding.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring students feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

This role is for 5 days a week and an ASAP start.

The Role

As a Pastoral Manager, you will:

• Lead on pastoral care and student wellbeing within a designated year group or key stage

• Support behaviour management and implement intervention strategies

• Work closely with SLT, Heads of Year and safeguarding teams

• Build strong relationships with students, parents and external agencies

• Monitor attendance and support strategies to improve punctuality and engagement

• Provide mentoring and targeted support for vulnerable students

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a pastoral, behaviour, safeguarding or student support role

• Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Resilient, calm and solution-focused approach

• Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Experience within a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
