First for education is proud to be working in partnership with a high-achieving school to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Biology Teacher.
 
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Biology specialist to join a successful and supportive Science department, inspiring students through the study of life sciences and fostering a deep understanding of key biological concepts. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the Biology curriculum, encouraging curiosity, scientific thinking, and a love of discovery. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on students’ academic achievement while helping them develop the knowledge and skills needed for further study and future careers in science-related fields. 

This is a full-time, long-term position for the remainder of the academic year, delivering lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) , Key Stage 4 (KS4) and KS5 desirable.
 
The school has a strong behaviour policy in place and a supportive senior leadership team, making it an excellent environment for a Secondary Teacher looking for a consistent role in Birmingham (B35 Area).

Secondary Supply Teacher role requirements:  
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 
– Experience teaching across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) 
– Ability to deliver lessons across a range of subjects  
– Strong classroom and behaviour management skills  
– A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching  
– Strong communication and organisational skills  
– Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing  
– Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through The Education Specialists  
  
The successful Secondary Supply Teacher will:  
– Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects 
– Adapt teaching to suit different classroom environments 
– Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies  
– Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task  
– Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour  
– Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
