PPA Teacher

First for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PPA Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Hall Green, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (KS1/KS2).
This is a full-time, permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for a skilled PPA Teacher to work across different year groups and deliver high-quality teaching within a supportive and well-structured school environment.
The school has a strong focus on pupil progress and inclusive learning, with a collaborative staff team and a positive learning culture. This is an excellent opportunity for a PPA Teacher looking to develop their practice while gaining experience across a range of primary year groups.

PPA Teacher role requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, particularly KS1 and/or KS2
  • Ability to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across different year groups
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms, pupils and teaching environments
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A proactive, flexible and reflective approach to teaching
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply

The successful PPA Teacher will

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across KS1 and KS2
  • Follow existing lesson plans and curriculum objectives while adapting teaching where appropriate
  • Provide continuity and consistency for pupils when covering PPA sessions
  • Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Support and monitor pupil progress through effective assessment and feedback
  • Establish positive relationships with pupils and staff across the school
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, teaching assistants, SENCO and school leadership
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
