Are you a passionate and creative Performing Arts Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of performers?
First for Education is proud to be working in partnership with a progressive and inclusive secondary school in North Worcestershire to appoint a dedicated Performing Arts Teacher for a full-time role starting in October 2025, continuing until the end of the academic year.
This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver engaging Drama, Dance, and Performing Arts lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be joining a supportive department with a strong emphasis on creativity, expression, and student development.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering a varied and engaging Performing Arts curriculum
Encouraging student confidence, creativity, and collaboration through practical performance work
Organising and supporting school productions, theatre visits, and enrichment activities
Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
Supporting students in both academic and practical assessments (e.g., BTEC/GCSE)
Collaborating with colleagues to promote performing arts within the wider school community
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
Specialism in Performing Arts, Drama, Dance, or a related field
Experience teaching in a UK secondary school (placements considered for strong ECTs)
A passion for performance and the ability to bring creativity into the classroom
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive rapport with students
A flexible, enthusiastic, and resilient attitude to teaching
