First for Education is working with a vast number of secondary schools across the West Midlands, and we are seeking confident, capable, and dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistants ideally with prior experience in classroom support roles.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Provide skilled classroom support to teachers and pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Deliver effective 1:1 and small group interventions for students who need additional help
  • Support pupils with SEND, EAL, or behavioural needs using your experience and professional judgement
  • Foster student confidence and promote an inclusive, engaging learning environment
  • Help to maintain high standards of behaviour and support classroom routines
  • Liaise with teaching and support staff to track pupil progress and development

What You’ll Need:

  • Strong understanding of classroom dynamics and pupil support needs
  • Confidence working independently or alongside the class teacher
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Availability for full-time, long-term roles
