Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are working with a welcoming and supportive school in the Bordesley Green area seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team.

Role Details:

• Location: Bordesley Green, Birmingham
• Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner for the right candidate)
• Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing
• Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups, and whole classes under the guidance of teaching staff
• Support pupils with varying abilities, including those with SEND
• Assist in the assessment, recording and reporting of pupils’ progress
• Provide pastoral support and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Contribute to the wider life of the school

About You:

• Hold HLTA status or equivalent Level 4/5 qualification
• Have recent experience working as an HLTA or as a Teaching Assistant confident leading whole class learning
• Strong understanding of the primary or secondary curriculum
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their best
