First for Education is recruiting a passionate and skilled Secondary Science Teacher to join one of our partner schools in Edgbaston. We are looking for a teacher who can bring physics, chemistry, and biology to life in the classroom, inspiring students to explore, experiment, and excel in science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Create a positive learning environment that promotes curiosity and critical thinking

  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop resources


What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge in science (biology, chemistry, and physics)

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A passion for teaching and inspiring young people

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Two professional references covering the last two years
