Behaviour Manager 

First for Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Dudley to appoint a dedicated and proactive Behaviour Manager. This is a key pastoral role for someone who thrives on making a positive impact in the lives of young people and has the confidence to manage behaviour consistently and constructively.

The Role:

• Lead on the management of pupil behaviour across the school

• Implement and monitor the school’s behaviour policies and systems

• Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SLT to identify and support at-risk students

• Manage internal exclusions, detentions, and restorative conversations

• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and act as a key point of contact for behaviour-related issues

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to behaviour strategy meetings

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience in a pastoral, behaviour, or senior support role within a school or education setting

• A calm, firm, and empathetic approach to managing behaviour

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• The ability to lead, motivate and support students in a positive way

• A current DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
