First for Education are seeking an experienced and confident Level 3 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students in a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bournville, starting November 2025.
This role is ideal for a skilled LSA with experience providing 1:1 support, small group interventions, and classroom assistance, particularly for pupils with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs.
As a Level 3 Learning Support Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored support to students with SEND or learning barriers
Assist in planning and delivering targeted interventions
Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
Promote independent learning and positive engagement
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
Contribute to EHCP monitoring and progress tracking where required
Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant qualification – essential
Previous experience supporting pupils with additional needs in a school setting
Strong communication, patience and behaviour management skills
A proactive, empathetic and supportive approach
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
