DT Teacher

First For Education are looking to recruit a talented and motivated Design Technology Teacher for a supportive secondary school in the Wolverhampton area. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and practical teacher who is passionate about inspiring pupils through innovative and hands-on learning.

You must hold a QTS to be considered for this position.

About the Role

• Teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4

• Specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering, or Food Technology are welcomed

• Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that encourage problem-solving and creativity

• Ensure a safe and organised workshop or classroom environment

• Mark and assess pupils’ work, providing constructive feedback to support progress

• Work collaboratively with a dynamic DT department

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology

• Confidence in delivering practical sessions safely and effectively

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• A positive approach to supporting pupils of all abilities

• ECTs are welcome to apply
