We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our supportive and forward-thinking school community in Shrewsbury. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
As our SEN Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties
Develop and implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, parents, and external agencies
Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure positive outcomes
Create a safe, structured and engaging classroom environment
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working with pupils with special educational needs
Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education
Experience with structured interventions and behaviour support strategies (desirable)
