About the Role
A welcoming secondary school in Hagley is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join its Humanities department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and bring history to life through engaging and thought-provoking lessons.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons
Inspire curiosity and critical thinking about historical events and themes
Assess, monitor, and support student progress
Contribute to curriculum development within the Humanities department
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in History or a related subject
Experience teaching History at secondary level (KS3/KS4; KS5 desirable)
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A passion for history and student achievement
A supportive and collaborative Humanities department
