First for Education are looking to recruit dedicated and confident Cover Supervisors to work in our partner secondary schools in Kings Norton.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people who is keen to step into the classroom. As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll ensure pupils remain on task by delivering pre-prepared lessons during teacher absences and creating a supportive, engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects

• Supervise and manage classroom behaviour effectively

• Provide support and encouragement to pupils

• Follow school policies and safeguarding guidelines

• Help maintain a positive learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)

• Confidence to manage classroom situations

• Adaptability and reliability

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Two professional references covering the last two years
