First for Education are recruiting enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in our partner schools across Sutton Coldfield and the wider Birmingham area. This role is perfect for aspiring teachers, graduates, or individuals with experience working with young people who are keen to develop their skills in education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher
Supervise pupils across a variety of subjects and year groups
Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
Support pupils’ learning and engagement
Previous experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, youth work, or coaching desirable)
Confidence in managing classroom situations
Strong communication and organisation skills
A flexible and proactive approach to supporting students
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
