First for Education are seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in our partner secondary schools across Rubery and the surrounding Birmingham area. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, graduates, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to take their next step in education.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans when the class teacher is absent

• Supervise classes across a range of subjects and year groups

• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

• Encourage pupils to stay on task and engage with their work

• Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, or youth work desirable)

• Confidence in managing classroom behaviour effectively

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• A proactive, flexible, and professional approach

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
