Salary: £85 – £160 per day (dependent on experience)

First for Education are supporting a well-established Multi-Academy Trust in the Coventry area and are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to begin from January 2026.

This long-term role is ideal for individuals with experience working with young people, whether in schools, youth work or similar settings. You will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain engaged and that learning continues smoothly.

We also welcome applicants who may be interested in future roles across the trust, as upcoming vacancies are expected throughout the academic year.

The Role

• Supervising lessons across a range of subjects

• Ensuring pupils remain on task and focused

• Delivering pre-set lesson plans provided by teachers

• Managing behaviour in line with school policies

• Supporting the general running of the classroom

• Providing flexible cover across year groups where needed

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils (education or youth settings)

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills

• A professional, reliable and adaptable attitude

• Ability to follow lesson plans confidently

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
