Support Secondary Schools in Castle Bromwich

First for Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in our partner secondary schools across Castle Bromwich.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone considering a career in teaching or education, as you’ll gain invaluable classroom experience while supporting pupils in their learning.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of their usual teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged, focused, and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes during teacher absences

• Deliver pre-set work and manage classroom behaviour

• Encourage a positive learning environment

• Support pupils in their learning when required

• Ensure school policies are followed at all times

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)

• Strong classroom management skills

• Confidence and flexibility

• A genuine interest in supporting young people’s education

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Two professional references covering the last two years
