As a Cover Supervisor , you will provide essential cover for absent teachers, ensuring continuity of learning for pupils with a range of needs including autism (ASD), SEMH, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain classroom leadership experience in a SEND setting.

🌟 Key Responsibilities

As a Cover Supervisor , you will:

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to small classes or groups, keeping pupils on task.
• Support learning activities while maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies, using positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to meet pupils’ individual needs.
• Adapt to different age groups and abilities, providing consistency and reassurance for pupils.

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND or alternative provisions.
• Confidence leading a class and engaging pupils with diverse needs.
