First for Education are seeking reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in the Atherstone area, starting January 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants aiming to progress, or graduates with strong communication skills who are considering a career in teaching.
You will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, delivering pre-set work, and ensuring pupils remain focused during teacher absence.
Supervising lessons across a range of subjects
Ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged
Managing behaviour professionally and confidently
Supporting pupils with classwork when needed
Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
Providing flexible support across year groups
Experience working with young people (education, youth work or similar)
Confident behaviour management
Strong communication and organisational skills
A proactive and professional attitude
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
