First for Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Design & Technology Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in West Bromwich. This is ideal for a teacher who thrives on inspiring creativity and innovation in the classroom.
This is a full-time role teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The ideal candidate will be confident delivering a range of DT specialisms, such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Engineering, and have a strong classroom presence.
To be considered for this position, you must hold a QTS/QTLS or PGCE.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on practical and theoretical elements. The successful candidate will:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Encourage pupils to think creatively and critically about design.
Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
Contribute to the wider school community and department development.
A qualified DT Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level.
Strong subject knowledge and workshop safety awareness.
A positive, proactive attitude and passion for your subject.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).
