DT Teacher 

First for Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Wolverhampton for a Design & Technology Teacher to start immediately after the October half term.

This is a full-time, long-term role teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The ideal candidate will be confident delivering a range of DT specialisms, such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Engineering, and have a strong classroom presence.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a QTS/QTLS or PGCE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Foster student creativity and practical problem-solving skills in areas like product design, electronics, and materials technology

• Maintain a well-organized and inspiring classroom environment

• Collaborate with the department and wider school staff to ensure a high standard of teaching and learning

Requirements:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Have experience teaching Design and Technology at KS3 and KS4 level

• Be enthusiastic about delivering hands-on, engaging lessons in various areas of DT

• Possess strong classroom management skills

• Ideally, be confident in delivering lessons across a range of DT disciplines, including product design, CAD, and electronics
