We are currently working in partnership with a forward-thinking and supportive SEND school in Birmingham that caters for pupils with Autism, SEMH, and complex learning needs. The school is seeking an experienced and dedicated English Teacher to join their team and support students in re-engaging with learning through creative and personalised approaches.

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and/or KS4
Differentiate content to suit individual learning styles and EHCP targets
Promote literacy, communication, and self-expression through innovative teaching strategies
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and therapeutic professionals
Contribute to a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, QTLS, or equivalent)
Experience teaching English, ideally within a SEND or alternative provision setting
A trauma-informed, nurturing approach to behaviour and learning
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage a diverse cohort
A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs to reach their full potential
Small class sizes and a strong emphasis on personalised learning
A collaborative and supportive working environment
Access to SEND-specific CPD and training
A well-organised setting with a clear focus on pupil wellbeing and progress
