English Teacher

First for Education is seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Bilston from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach English Language and Literature to engaged learners in a supportive and well-managed school environment. This is a part time interim position.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a QTS/QTLS or PGCE.

About the role:

  • Full-time English teaching position across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

  • Deliver creative and challenging lessons that inspire progress and curiosity

  • Take on full classroom responsibilities, including planning, marking, and assessment

  • Join a friendly and experienced English department with strong leadership

  • Suitable for either a temporary or temp-to-perm contract

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Have recent UK classroom experience teaching English at secondary level

  • Be confident in delivering the English curriculum to mixed-ability classes

  • Show a genuine passion for language, literature, and literacy development

  • Be committed to high standards of teaching and student achievement
