English Teacher – Sedgley

First for Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join one of our welcoming partner secondary schools in Sedgley. This is a full-time position for one term, starting in September 2025, with the potential for a long-term  appointment for the right candidate.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a QTS/QTLS or PGCE.

About the role:

We’re looking for a passionate English specialist who can deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You’ll be joining a well-established department with strong leadership and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners

• Promote a love of language and literature

• Support students in achieving their academic goals through effective differentiation and feedback

• Be an active contributor to the wider school community

• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote positive behaviour

The successful candidate will have:

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

• Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools

• Strong classroom management and organisational skills

• A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and a positive, can-do attitude

• The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
