First for Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join one of our welcoming partner secondary schools in Sedgley. This is a full-time position for one term, starting in September 2025, with the potential for a long-term appointment for the right candidate.
To be considered for this position, you must hold a QTS/QTLS or PGCE.
About the role:
We’re looking for a passionate English specialist who can deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You’ll be joining a well-established department with strong leadership and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
As an English Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
Promote a love of language and literature
Support students in achieving their academic goals through effective differentiation and feedback
Be an active contributor to the wider school community
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote positive behaviour
The successful candidate will have:
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and a positive, can-do attitude
The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
