Exam Invigilator

Are you reliable, attentive, and confident in following procedures?
First For Education is looking for calm, organised and trustworthy Exam Invigilators to support secondary schools across Kidderminster during the busy exam seasons.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, school-based work  including retirees, teaching assistants looking for extra hours, university students, or anyone wanting to support their local schools.

About the Role

As an Exam Invigilator, you will ensure exams run smoothly and in accordance with school and JCQ regulations. You will help create a calm environment, supervise students, and ensure exam protocols are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the exam room and distribute materials

  • Ensure students enter and exit exams in a controlled manner

  • Supervise students throughout the exam

  • Uphold exam regulations and prevent any form of malpractice

  • Collect and securely return completed papers

  • Provide assistance to senior invigilators and exam officers as needed

 

Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Professional, calm and reliable

  • Ability to follow strict processes

  • Strong communication skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Previous exam experience is helpful but not essential and full training is provided
