History Teacher – Hagley

About the Role
A welcoming secondary school in Hagley is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join its Humanities department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and bring history to life through engaging and thought-provoking lessons.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons

  • Inspire curiosity and critical thinking about historical events and themes

  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress

  • Contribute to curriculum development within the Humanities department

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in History or a related subject

  • Experience teaching History at secondary level (KS3/KS4; KS5 desirable)

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A passion for history and student achievement
