First For Education are delighted to be partnering with a fantastic school in Kingswinford to find a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join their thriving department. This is a great opportunity for both experienced teachers and early career teachers who are committed to delivering high-quality lessons and nurturing the next generation of historians. This is an interim cover with an immediate start.
To be considered for this position, you must hold a QTS/QTLS or PGCE.
As a History Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and effective History lessons to students across key stages 3 and 4, inspiring a love for the subject and developing critical thinking skills.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to explore historical topics and express their ideas.
Collaborate with other members of the department to develop and share innovative teaching resources and best practices.
Support the school’s wider community and contribute to extra-curricular activities related to History, such as clubs, trips, and events.
Assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
We are looking for a candidate who:
Holds a relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
Has a strong knowledge and passion for History, with the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Is dedicated to the development and well-being of students, both academically and personally.
Can contribute to the wider life of the school and the History department.
Is adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to continuous professional development.
