Experienced Learning Support Assistant – Nuneaton

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We’re working with a specialist school in the Nuneaton area that is looking for a confident and committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The setting provides tailored education and care for pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support, often on a one-to-one basis or within small, structured groups.

About the Role:

  • Supporting students with Autism and SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
  • Helping to create a calm, consistent and safe environment
  • Working closely with teaching staff and wider pastoral teams to meet individual targets
  • Promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience supporting young people with Autism and/or SEMH
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with pupils who may have faced barriers to learning
  • A resilient, reliable and team-oriented mindset
  • Previous experience as a learning support assistant

  • Competitive daily rates depending on experience
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required (or willing to apply)
