Job Description

Location: West Midlands
Hours: Part-time, term-time only (typically 11:30am – 1:30pm)
Start Date: September 2025

We are currently recruiting caring and reliable Lunchtime Supervisors to work in specialist SEND settings across the West Midlands. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs during the lunchtime period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising pupils in the dining hall, playground, and indoor areas during lunch
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including those with autism, physical disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Assisting with feeding and personal care where required (training provided)
  • Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion during social time
  • Encouraging interaction and play, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
  • Working closely with teaching and support staff to maintain routines and boundaries

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN or care setting
  • A calm, patient and supportive approach
  • An understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils thrive in all aspects of school life
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive attitude
