We are currently recruiting caring and reliable Lunchtime Supervisors to work in specialist SEND settings across the West Midlands. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs during the lunchtime period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising pupils in the dining hall, playground, and indoor areas during lunch
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, including those with autism, physical disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Assisting with feeding and personal care where required (training provided)
- Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion during social time
- Encouraging interaction and play, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
- Working closely with teaching and support staff to maintain routines and boundaries
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN or care setting
- A calm, patient and supportive approach
- An understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- A genuine passion for helping pupils thrive in all aspects of school life
- Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive attitude
