Are you a passionate and creative Performing Arts Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of performers?
First for Education is proud to be working in partnership with a progressive and inclusive secondary school in North Worcestershire to appoint a dedicated Performing Arts Teacher for a full-time role starting in October 2025, continuing until the end of the academic year.


🏫 About the Role:

This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver engaging Drama, Dance, and Performing Arts lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be joining a supportive department with a strong emphasis on creativity, expression, and student development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering a varied and engaging Performing Arts curriculum

  • Encouraging student confidence, creativity, and collaboration through practical performance work

  • Organising and supporting school productions, theatre visits, and enrichment activities

  • Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback

  • Supporting students in both academic and practical assessments (e.g., BTEC/GCSE)

  • Collaborating with colleagues to promote performing arts within the wider school community


βœ… The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification

  • Specialism in Performing Arts, Drama, Dance, or a related field

  • Experience teaching in a UK secondary school (placements considered for strong ECTs)

  • A passion for performance and the ability to bring creativity into the classroom

  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive rapport with students

  • A flexible, enthusiastic, and resilient attitude to teaching
