We are working with a welcoming specialist school in South Birmingham that supports children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). They are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team and make a positive impact on pupils’ lives.
About the role:
- Supporting students aged 4–19 with complex needs, including sensory impairments, medical needs, and physical disabilities
- Assisting with personal care, moving and handling, and therapy programmes (full training provided)
- Creating a safe, engaging environment that promotes independence and communication
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families
About you:
- Experience supporting children or adults with PMLD, complex needs, or severe disabilities (in school, care, or community settings)
- Confident providing personal care and using hoists or other specialist equipment (training can be arranged)
- Calm, patient, and committed to improving outcomes for learners with high needs
- A team player with good communication skills
