First for Education are working with supportive secondary schools to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic teacher of English Language and Literature. This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to help students develop their communication, analytical and creative skills.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

• Plan, prepare, and assess learning to support student progress

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Manage behaviour in line with school policies

• Contribute to wider school life and the English department

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS via PGCE

• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature

• Effective classroom management and communication skills

• A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young people

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
