First for Education are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join a secondary school in the Five Ways area of Birmingham from January 2026.
The school is well-resourced, supportive, and committed to raising achievement across the Science department. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident teacher who can deliver engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3 and KS4.
Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons
Teaching across KS3 and KS4 (specialism welcomed)
Assessing, marking, and tracking pupil progress
Managing behaviour confidently in line with school policies
Creating an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment
Contributing to departmental planning and wider school life
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Recent experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school
Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
Excellent communication and behaviour management ability
A proactive, organised and professional approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
