Are you confident, adaptable, and eager to make a difference in secondary education? First for Education is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support a variety of secondary schools across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience, including graduates and aspiring teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
  • Uphold school policies and safeguard students’ wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths); a degree is desirable.

  • A positive, proactive attitude.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
