First for Education is currently recruiting passionate Secondary English Teachers for long-term, full-time roles in supportive secondary schools across the West Midlands. Whether you specialise in Language, Literature, or both – we want to hear from you.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students (KS5 opportunities may be available)
  • Support pupils in developing analytical, creative, and critical thinking skills
  • Plan and assess effectively to drive progress and attainment
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment where students can thrive
  • Work collaboratively with department staff and wider school teams

Who We’re Looking For:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism or strong experience in English Language and/or Literature
  • Excellent classroom management and strong communication skills
  • A proactive and enthusiastic teaching style
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Two relevant professional references
