Salary: £150 – £250 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Contract Type: Full-Time / Long-Term / Temp-to-Perm

Are you a reflective and knowledgeable Religious Education Teacher who can inspire students to explore a diverse range of beliefs, values and worldviews?

First for Education is working closely with secondary schools across the West Midlands to recruit a skilled and dedicated R.E. Teacher for long-term, full-time roles. This is an excellent opportunity to work in supportive environments where your subject can truly enrich the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Religious Education lessons to KS3 and KS4 students (KS5 may be available)
  • Create a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere where students can explore complex moral and spiritual themes
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of learners with different backgrounds and abilities
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Contribute to department planning and wider school values

Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Subject specialism or strong teaching experience in Religious Education
  • A genuine interest in helping students engage with ethical, philosophical, and cultural questions
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Two relevant professional references
