Contract: Full-Time (Fixed-term)
Salary: Competitive – based on experience and pay scale

First for Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Redditch who are seeking a committed and inspiring English specialist to join their team for a full-time role from March 2026 until July 2026 although this may be extended.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Teach English Language and Literature to students in KS3 and KS4
  • Prepare, and deliver creative, challenging, and well-structured lessons
  • Monitor and assess student progress and provide timely feedback
  • Contribute to departmental planning, CPD, and enrichment activities
  • Work closely with the SLT, SEND and pastoral teams to ensure pupil success
  • Maintain a positive and focused learning environment in line with the school’s values

What We’re Looking For:

  • UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge and genuine passion for English
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to differentiate and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • A team player who is keen to contribute to whole-school initiatives
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
