SEND Teaching Assistants & Learning Support – Birmingham

Are you driven by the idea of supporting young people with additional needs to thrive in education? We’re currently seeking compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a range of SEND schools and specialist settings across Birmingham.

Your experience, empathy, and enthusiasm matter far more than formal qualifications – if you’ve supported children or young people with special needs, we want to hear from you.


What the Role Involves

As a TA or LSA in a SEND environment, you’ll play a key role in supporting students with a wide range of needs, such as:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • ADHD

  • Hearing and Visual Impairments

  • Physical Disabilities and mobility needs

Your day-to-day work may include:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 or small group support

  • Helping pupils engage with learning in a way that works for them

  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and social skills

  • Assisting with personal care or mobility where needed

  • Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and therapists


What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people who:

  • Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school, care, youth work, or community settings)

  • Are patient, adaptable, and genuinely care about making a difference

  • Have good communication skills and a team-player attitude

No qualifications required – just your relevant experience and commitment.
